What's still unclear, including on the Scribe webpage, is the difference between unlicensed, Basic and Pro. These really are pretty fundamental questions that should be answered clearly and made clear on the webpage.

Question on that: I'm told Infinity food pedal may not work with Basic version (which mine does) versus Pro. Do you think that would be true or not? I'm to get new pedal soon and curious to know if have to have Pro when only need Basic. (Pedal malfunctioned so getting replacement). Thank you.

Pro version versus Basic version isn't clear at all. Nowhere on your site does it give what one has that the other does not for $10 extra. I get that the Unlicensed version works ONLY with the AltoEdge foot pedals and limits compatible audio files to DCT, MP3, WAV, WMA, AIFF, MP2, and VOX. But what exactly does the PRO licensing give you that makes it appropriate for a commercial setting? Do you get the rights to use it on multiple computers? Do you get the rights to transcribe unlimited hours versus specified time limits for Basic? (PS: To the folks asking above, I bit the bullet and bought BASIC. My Infinity IN-USB-2 foot pedal works fine with it.)

The trial version should work for around 14 day but this could be less depending on usage. The basic version should not have any limitations on the length of dictations and your Pedal should work fine with it as well.

Hi, I'm using this to type up my own dictations and have the basic version. I can't seem to find where I should be entering the decryption key and id on the express scribe and would be grateful for some advice. As far as I can tell the basic version does support encryption....

From the menu, click options, click playback, click incoming, on the bottom of that incoming tab you should see a box that says "set users decryption key" click that and a little box will pop up to where you can enter the id and key code and then click "set key".

I have the code, I tried to enter it and it didn't work. I've tried to reach out to the company so they can walk me through what to do and I'm getting nothing. Where do I find the page you're looking at? I have the info downloaded on my computer. I try and click on them, but I get a message saying my decryption key has not been set. I click on Preferences and then try and enter the number I have from her, but it won't let me enter it. What would be awesome is an actual human that would contact me and walk me through this, but apparently that can't happen based on what I'm hearing from tech support at NCH - despite the fact that I just spent $69+ on this tool. Very frustrated user!

Is there anywhere else I can look to get answer? I paid $69 for the software and I can't use it at this point, so I need to get some answers and I'm not getting it from NCH. Love to be able to use their tool to do my job, but that doesn't seem to be happening.
