Is EU Data a duplication?

Hi everyone,
When i download a dataset of all importers of a good, i have EU as a reporter, but i also have each EU member individually as a reporter. My doubt is if the EU is a data duplication and, therefore, i should exclude it from the dataset.

In the provided link, the following is stated: "EU is regarded here as one entity, which trades with the rest of the world. Intra-EU trade does not make part of it. This means, for example, that trade of the Italy with other EU member states is not part of EU trade. However, the trade of Italy with countries outside of the EU is taken into account."

This, however, still doesn't indicate whether trades made by Italy are duplicated in the trades made by the EU, as apparently both of them exclude intra-EU trade. 
So, is it partly a duplicate or not?
