Data for Taiwan/Taipei from UN COMTRADE on WITS

Hi

I notice that trade flows data for Taiwan has been taken off
completely from the UN COMTRADE database available on WITS. I have
downloaded the data for this region from the same not too long ago in
May 2011. Can someone please throw some light on this?

Dear Seema,

Following the UNSD guidelines on Taiwan, China trade statistics ,
recently we have made the below changes in WITS for UNSD COMTRADE
data.

1. On the reporter dimension, Taiwan, China data is disseminated as
"Other Asia, nes" (artificial country code OAS)
2.On the partner dimension, Taiwan, China data is disseminated as
"Other Asia, nes" (artificial country code OAS) and may include more
than Taiwan, China. (As of now, it includes only Taiwan, China)

        On the COMTRADE data catalog, to  know data availability for
Taiwan, China. please look for "Other Asia, nes" or  country code OAS.

Dear WITS Team,
currently I'm having the same issue as I am not sure if "Other Asia, nes" still only contains data from Taiwan.
I would be very grateful to hear if this has been changed in the meantime or if I can connect trade data to tariff data and treat is as Taiwan only (I only use data up until 2006).

Dear WITS team, I have followed instruction to look for Taiwan data in UN Comtrade Data. There indeed is a category named "Other Asia nes", but no data available of it. I accessed the database today. The other reporter data are fine. So, do I get anything wrong? or the data base has removed the Taiwan data again?
