Regarding EUN as a country

Dear helpdesk staff, 

I am not sure what countries constitutes the European Union as a country series (it appears to have EUN in the country list). Is it dynamic group i.e. include and exclude members in each year? 

To get the actual data of EU, do we need to add both individual series of EU members and the EUN together? A colleague in my team mentioned that exporting to EU was just a reminder as customs declarations still had to go through individual customs territories- so one had to manually add all 28 (well 27) PLUS EU to get to the total. Could you kindly confirm this statement?

It depends on what you are looking for.  If you are looking for applied customs tariff there is only one tariff for the European Union Customs Union (not for individual members).  For trade, UNCOMTRADE  provides both individual EU countries bilateral trade data as well as EU external bilateral trade data (i.e excluding intra EU trade). You can still add up manually the 28/27, however the result (which includes intra trade) will, obviously,  not coincide with EU external bilateral trade.
