Health and Development Africa is a Southern African consultancy specialising in health and development research, planning and management. We have a particular focus on HIV/AIDS, and managing its implications for development. We are working in South Africa and a number of other African countries.
HDA is seeking dynamic young graduates to work on a number of ongoing and upcoming projects. You will be working with a skilled team of technical specialists. Your work will include helping to manage and implement HDA projects, conduct research and other activities, analyse data and write reports. You will benefit from a structured training programme. This position is based in Johannesburg.
We require someone who is dynamic, and has the following:
· An undergraduate, honours or masters qualification in the social sciences, epidemiology, development or health-related fields
· Good computer and analytic skills
· Excellent writing and communication skills in English
· The ability to work in a team
· A desire to learn on the job and develop new skills
· A driver’s licence
HIV/AIDS experience would be an advantage. This position requires the applicant to be able to travel outside South Africa. This is a 12 month contract position, and the remuneration will be set according to qualifications and experience.
