Maybe try to install Anki 2.1.32 and update to the latest mpv version by downloading from -player-windows/files/64bit/ and copying everything to C:\Program Files\Anki to replace mpv.exe. Then restart Anki.
By Windows audio manager do you mean the volume mixer? The green bars show that the audio is being played by mpv and can be heard with headphones. Does it work, i.e. you could see the green bar and hear the sound, if you press R or click the replay button in Anki.
Could you reproduce it with the same file and without Anki?
Yes, i plays with windows media player. But, i guess i found the core of the problem, its the mpv. I dragged same file that i played with wmp to mpv, and there was no sound.
Which version of Audition are you using? Audition should allow you to select WASAPI as a Device Class in the Audio Hardware set up page in preferences. But in the long run it is down to how you have your Windows Sound set up for recording that sends system sounds to Audition.
When I go to Sound settings the Microphone tab there should be a Stereo mix option, but it isnt there and it seems Audition only uses whats installed on windows while other programs use WASAPI because its part of their programming.
Unfortunately Audition CS6 didn't support WASAPI. Later versions do. But I would have thought that there should be other settings for recording in the Windows set up page. Try right clicking in the white empty space below the two listed options and tick the boxes to Show Disabled Devices and Show Disconnected Devices to make sure that other recording options haven't been hidden on your Windows installation. Then Audition should be able to use them via the MME drivers.
It is unfortunate that Microsoft and some computer manufacturers have decided to disable the record Stereo Mix function so as not to upset the music industry and broadcasters by allowing streaming material to be recorded. You may be able to get something to work using a Virtual Audio Cable plugin app which will allow you to stream digital audio from one piece of software to another.
im not sure that randysmith is a spammer but if i cant find file im after by google or other sites i use same method only with techsmith snagit.. i just hit record with enabled system audio only and trim audio in audition after.
if anyone is up to the game there are other things available. i cant recommend soundflower cuz in past i had lots of issues with that, but Loopback by rogue amoeba on mac works great, and for Windows PC is bit confusing at first is voicemeeter or voicemeeter banana.. as loopback works flawlessly but only on macs i got sometimes some latency problems using voicemeeter (not as bad as with soundflower, but still)..
Hey, I just use TuneFab Screen Recorder to help me record the system audio and then I can enjoy this sound for further listening. I just turn on my system audio and microphone, then I can record it. Nice!
Just recommend you to try tuneskit screen recorder that I'm using now. It's an easy to use yet professional screen recording software to capture all audios and videos on the computer. The thing is you can choose to record videos with sound or capture sound only; it's up to you. Besides, you're also freely to grab system audio or microphone audio separately or at the same time according to your needs.
The only easy software to record PC stereo-out is Audacity. I say this as a lifetime hobbyist audio engineer and having tried EVERYTHING holy mambos. Make sure you use the WASAPI sound option with your PC - it is most stable.
I have installed and reinstalled audio drivers hundred times but it doesn't work at all. Below are the audio drivers that I have downloaded. If there are any more drivers I need to install, please tell me.
Here is the screenshot of the device manager and it even doesn't show the "sound, video and game controllers'' part. Does anyone meet this situation before? and if yes, can you tell me how to solve it, please?
I too have same issue with Dell vostro 3400 audio issue.
And the problem is specific to Dell vostro 3400 and I have around 4 device with same issue.
Nothing works after Audio driver reinstall, windows clean install.
Even tried with Windows 10 and windows 11.
This looks like more specific to Dell audio/hardware issue.
I'm not entirely certain, but I recall this issue first appearing after updating the BIOS to version 1.19.0. At that time, the device still had sound, but it was distorted, whether I used the laptop speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, or Bluetooth devices. The sound icon would frequently disappear (red cross), and it would only reappear when I installed the Realtek High Definition Audio Driver.
Things took a turn for the worse after updating the BIOS to version 1.22.0, and subsequently to version 1.23.0, as the sound completely disappeared. There are no drivers, no input, no output, and no speakers or headphones are recognized as being connected.
I also have the same problem. Try re install all drivers. If it still doesn't work. Call DELL Center to request device warranty. Now I have more than 100 laptops DELL Vostro 3400 just expired warranty, if it has the same error, i don't know how to handle it.
P/s: I had to call the DELL service canter to replace the mainboard for more than 10 laptops.
Vamos a explicarte cmo cambiar o aadir efectos de sonido en Windows 10, de forma que puedas aadir algunos que el sistema no tenga o cambiar algunos que s tenga pero no te guste. Por ejemplo, podrs hacer que haya un sonido cuando conectes o desconectes un USB, cuando inicias Windows 10, cuando recibes notificaciones o cierras aplicaciones, y muchos ms momentos.
Esto lo vamos a hacer con un men de sonidos de sistema que lleva presente en Windows desde hace muchsimas versiones, y que demasiado a menudo pasamos por alto. Los sonidos pueden ser de los propuestos por el propio Windows, descargados por Internet, o grabados por ti mismo. Nosotros te diremos el proceso para cambiarlos.
Lo primero que tienes que hacer es decidir si quieres usar sonidos de Windows u otros que le den un toque personalizado. En el caso de que sean personalizados, podrs descargar los efectos de sonido o crearlos t mismo grabndolos con el micrfono o con un editor de sonido. Los sonidos tienen que durar poqusimo y estar en formato WAV, y con poqusimo me refiero a alrededor de un segundo o menos para que Windows no tarde en cargarlos.
Ahora, abre el men de inicio y busca la opcin Cambiar sonidos del sistema, que te aparecer con el icono de un altavoz. Para encontrarla, es suficiente que abras el men de inicio y escribas cambiar sonido, porque incluso antes de completar la segunda palabra ya te debera aparecer como la primera aplicacin recomendada.
Esto te llevar a la ventana de Sonido, directamente en la pestaa de Sonidos que es donde se pueden cambiar los efectos. All, en Eventos de programa tienes una lista con todos los efectos de sonido, que estn sujetos al programa Windows. Con el icono de un micrfono a la izquierda vers los que ya tienen un sonido asignado, y sin l aparecern los que no tienen un sonido asignado.
Aqu, lo que tienes que hacer es elegir en la lista el tipo de efecto que quieres aadir. Cuando selecciones uno, abajo aparecer el botn de Probar que hay debajo de la lista para escucharlo. Si no te convence, puedes abrir la lista del desplegable Sonidos, que es donde estn los sonidos que la propia Microsoft ha metido para que uses.
Si quieres aadir tus propios sonidos o los que hayas bajado de Internet, entonces tienes que pulsar en el botn Examinar que tienes debajo de la lista. Tienes que pulsar cuando hayas seleccionado el tipo de sonido. Al hacerlo, se abrir el explorador de archivos, donde solo te queda buscar y abrir el archivo WAV que quieras. Una vez lo tengas a tu gusto, pulsa en el botn Aplicar abajo a la derecha para guardar los cambios.

Device sounded good but no mix knob and not being able to turn phantom power on/off for each channel separately was a deal breaker for me. Sound was clear (not quite as good as my Motu M4). Compression worked ok. Didn't care for vintage mode. Sold after 24 hours of owning .
