to Within the Wings of Sanctuary of Angels
so we went to the festival and basically between the rain and the rain
and the rain it was called off but not before - we had moved the tent
3 times, woken up in 2 ponds of ankle deep water, been flooded inside
the tent and the marquee, had no showers for 5 days, stomped about in
shin deep water, had water in our wellies and flooding in and out the
toes of our crocs, hardly eaten for 2 days, stayed up until it was too
dark to see putting stock away then been kept up all night by loud
music, and almost run out of money......and after all that had to be
towed off site by tractors for a blackmailers fee ....
the benefits of such an adventure were time with family in
circumstances hither too never experienced, very bonding at times (the
family that smells together sticks together ), enjoyment of some more
comic moments (son -aged4- peed in husbands sleeping bag in middle of
night. then peed out of van window into gale and spreading lake around
us. looked like one of those a cherub fountain), realised how much
nagging it is possible to do when you fear your children may
disappear into a 3ft pot hole full of water and drown especially when
they do not appear to care. ..big lesson in trust there...
so we came home and i pull an angel card for myself which
states..''spend time in nature, walk barefoot on the grass or in the
mud..'' and i laugh and say 'thats just what i have been doing all
week' and my cheeky daughter says ' yes but you had your crocs on..you
should have taken them off '
i love life!!
