OK, you really did not answer the questions. What is your source for this information? What “Golden Age”? Do you know what the Druids actually were and from whence they came?
What you said below basically said that everything you believe is not supported by history, not supported by religious writings, not supported by anything vision. Visions, as any learned shaman or medicine man-type individual will tell you, are to be interpreted and studied and can not be taken at face value. Like dreams, they rely on the minds understanding of the cosmos in a way that the concious mind can not percieve.
The Druids were Priests and Teachers to the Gauls and later to the Celts in general… and the references to the “Dragon” was not an actual critter, but the spritual energy of the Earth.. If you are reading from a Douglas Monroe book, please put it down.
Zeus and Aprhodite are or Greek origin and come from a different part of the word
I am sorry if I sound harsh, but this kind of mixing and matching and Pantheon jumping lends a lack of credibility to those of us who work so hard to not only learn the actual lore of our cultures and pantheons. It is also damaging to the image of Pagans/Wiccans/Druids who are trying to make a place in our culture for our religion so tht we are accepted and do not have to jump thru hoops or risk our children in court, or risk our jobs just because of how we worship. I have workked long and hard to obtain an ordination and clergy license and it pains me when people spout things as fact that sounds like secondary code from a WoW type game.
I would submit that if you wish to learn about and be Druid, then learn what there is to learn about the actual Druids, not what is portrayed in the entertainment media.
Take some classes in archeaology, and paleontolgy, LEARN about the real folks of history. That is how to honor them, to learn the truth of them, not in “what dreams may come”.
