I have banned a list of members who did not receive emails from the
group and to my knowledge never posted a thing. Now if people do not
post at least a weekly post a type of role call lets say every friday
starting this week they will be banned unless i am told a reason for
the no posting this as become a useless group that quiet frankly I
feel people think is a joke but that is gonna change right now. Any
person who is a spammer will be banned no advertising on this site at
all unless it has to do with Paganism and is approved by ME! I will
not have this group turned into a useless waste of space. I know this
sounds harsh but the world of Pagans online is fading away and this is
the only place for young Pagans, or new Pagans to get help, they go
online and if we fade away so will they. Have pride in your faith and
share it.

talk about this 2012 issue that has been going...It has a Pagan type
feel about it I guess.

Good idea.  Personally I think that it is a crock...i do not feel the world is going to end then.  I just don't feel it.  some changes maybe, but not end.  How can anyone possibly say that just from what the mayan calander says.  maybe there is nothing after that date because they themselves could not see anything or maybe something happened to where they couldn't finish it??? anyone else have any thoughts???

It the end of the Mayan Long Count Calendar for that age.  The Maya were able to accuarately chart astronomical movement to a degree not much worse that what we do today.  There are a number of galactic alignments that take place in that time frame as well.

 

The Maya did not believe the world would end though, they have writings that discuss times well into the future.

 

 

This end of the world crap is the same as the Y2K bug….bunch of hooey.

I have been in this group for a while and never posted anything. I am sorry if this has caused any doubts as to my seriousness about the topic. I will give you a bit of information about myself and my history in Paganism.

I am 44 years old. I have no children. I am married to my soul mate and best friend. We have both been married to other people and are glad to have found each other. I have been a pagan for about 20 years. It took me a long time to find my path within the big world of Paganism. But, I am a Kitchen/Hearth/Green Witch. I do not belong to a coven. I tried that for a while and it just didn't work for me. So, I went back to being a solitary practitioner. I love to grow things and the main focus of my magic workings is protection and well being of my family and home. We are living in an apartment, so my garden is in containers at this time. I am not allowed any pets here, but I love animals, especially cats. We will probably be crazy cat people in our old age. LOL My favorite pagan authors are Scott Cunningham, Pauline Campanelli, and Ellen Dugan. I am uneployed at this time, but have written many articles for Associated Content. The topics are mainly gardening, crafts, yoga/tai chi, camping, and health issues.

I look forward to talking with all of you.

It is nice to meet you Sapphire Storm.  I have been a practicing Pagan for about 20 years myself.  I love Cunningham as well.   I grow herbs in containers.  It seems that is the only thing I can grow...lol.

Howdy all,
I'm still here in some form-- been in a bit of mourning.
My dad's dementia, I am sad.  I appreciate every moment that we have together.
Yet this sadness causes me to stick closer to home these days.
I've been making bunches of backgrounds/textures and that relaxes me.
Also feeding the birds in the backyard and apparently annoying the neighbors
by my stubborn determination to continue breathing and enjoying life
as an atheistic sort of pagan.

I can feel your pain re: your Dad….sorta.  Yesterday would have been my father’s 75^th birthday had he not been shoved thru the veil by cancer in 07.  Even in diminshed capacity, I envy you the time you still have.  Make the most of what you have.
