TRAITS OF AN NRI LIVING IN SAUDI ARABIA

He hates the place like anything

But he wants all his family members and brothers to come and work here.

He lives in shanty place doesn’t buy anything and saves saves.

He drives a old used car, and buy a new car back home which is always parked in garage and never used.

The only enjoyment is to visit malls to buy one get one free.

Newspaper is a luxury and the only thing to read is Panda & Othiam and Carrefour pamphlets.

Watches his country news and is least concerned with local news. Though he has no voting right.

When coming back he makes sure to bring all spices and pickles which are already available here.

He saves to make a nice house back home with a dream of returning there which is either empty or gets no rental income.

He always complains about embassy, the airline and embassy school but will never send child to private school or use other airline.

He is unhappy when his country currency improves/ becomes strong.

He makes sure he doesn’t spend on clothes or look good as this is wastes of money and buys gold and gold

He hates locals and always complain that they don’t work – never realize that if they work he is not needed in this part of the world.

He says there is no life – yet he enjoys most luxurious life.

He says he going back next year but stays here the whole of life and makes sure his son too gets a job here.

But in the end he is a better person when he reaches India and is always eager to help the one in need.
