Required Skills & Qualifications

- Stakeholder Management: Ability to work directly with FP&A and Accounting leaders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Oracle EPM Technical Consultant to drive the design, enhancement, and production support of Oracle EPM Cloud solutions for Ahold Delhaize (Stop & Shop). This is a high-level SME role focusing on EPBCS/Planning and Essbase artifacts. You will be responsible for the entire planning lifecycle—from driver-based modeling and scenario planning to Groovy scripting and performance tuning. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between complex finance requirements and scalable technical architecture, supporting everything from day-to-day break/fix to major on-prem to Cloud migrations.
Technical Core & Responsibilities
Planning & Process Design
- EPM Cloud Mastery: Design and implement planning processes in EPBCS/Planning, including forecasting, approvals, and complex workflows.
- Financial Modeling: Build driver-based planning and scenario models that align with enterprise FP&A goals.
- User Experience: Optimize Smart View templates and web forms to ensure a seamless experience for Finance power users.
Advanced Scripting & Performance
- Calculation Design: Expert-level development of Business Rules and Calculation Scripts with a heavy focus on runtime optimization (block/aggregation strategies).
- Groovy & Automation: Utilize Groovy for advanced logic and PowerShell/Batch for orchestration and automation.
- Essbase Management: Maintain and optimize Essbase cubes, ensuring fast execution and scalability across high data volumes.
Data & Metadata Integration
- Data Management: Build and maintain dimension builds, data loads, and batch integration processes to ingest GL and upstream finance data.
- EDMCS/DRM: Manage metadata hierarchies and mappings, specifically using DRM/DRG for enterprise-wide data alignment.
- Reconciliation: Implement reliable validation controls to ensure data integrity between the EPM applications and source GL systems.
