Hi All,
Please share your candidates profiles to var...@tetrahed.com

Job Title: Redshift Developer
Job Location: Remote
Contract: C2C/W2/1099
Any Visa

Redshift (will accept Snowflake or BigQuery experience as a replacement)
Required Strong SQL skills - Required Dimensional modeling in a data warehouse (star and snowflake schemas)
Required Strong Python experience
Required Good Data Analysis skills
Required Git CI/CD experience (GitHub or Gitlab)
Required Proficient in use of AI (Gitlab Duo, Gemini, or similar) for coding efficiency
Required Apache Airflow, Mage, or similar orchestration service experience Desired AWS services (S3, Postgres, IAM) experience Desired DBT experience
Desired Experience in daily Engineering operations, support, and issue resolution.

Desired Background and expectations:
Redshift expertise is a top priority for us, with Snowflake being an acceptable alternative.
While Pyspark and Databricks skills can be strong in the right context, they have not translated well into our ecosystem in the past.
Our architecture is primarily SQL‑driven, with transformations handled through a SQL‑based framework (DBT).
In cases where Pyspark is used, it typically operates in an S3 based medallion architecture, and only the Gold layer is ultimately published to Redshift.
As a result, deep PySpark or Databricks experience does not necessarily equate to strong SQL transformation skills, which are critical for us.
Databricks + PySpark is generally better suited for organizations doing large‑scale distributed computing.
That is not our primary focus. Our data volumes and problem space are different
We have tried hiring data bricks‑heavy profiles in the past, and they did not transition well into our environment.
Therefore, we strongly prefer candidates with hands‑on Redshift or Snowflake experience, and dbt experience is a big plus.
We are looking for strong object‑oriented Python fundamentals combined with libraries such as pandas. We are not looking for API development or Lambda work
Experience in building a lakehouse following the medallion architecture using modern stacks like dbt on either Snowflake or Redshift.

Thanks,
Vardhan
