Job Description of the role -
Lead the design and implementation of an enterprise-scale demand forecasting solution on Snowflake. This role will drive architecture, model strategy, and end-to-end delivery of scalable AI/ML pipelines, enabling a shift toward data-driven, predictive planning.
• Technical Skills
o Strong experience in AI/ML (Forecasting, Time Series, Regression Models)
o Hands-on experience with Python
o Expertise in Snowflake (Snowpark, SQL, data modeling, performance optimization)
o Experience with data pipeline tools (DBT, Matillion, Airflow, or equivalent)
o Strong SQL and data engineering fundamentals
o Domain Knowledge (Preferred)
o Experience in Supply Chain / Demand Planning / Manufacturing domain
o Understanding of seasonality, S&OP processes, and forecasting challenge
Key Responsibilities
• ML Model Development & Deployment
o Design and develop demand forecasting models using statistical and machine learning techniques
o Build and operationalize ML models within the Snowflake ecosystem
o Deploy models into production with proper versioning, monitoring, and retraining strategies
• Data Engineering & Pipeline Development
o Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and preparing large datasets
o Leverage Snowflake features for ELT/ETL, including integrations
o Ensure data quality, governance, and consistency across forecasting datasets
• Performance Optimization & Scalability
o Optimize model performance for accuracy, efficiency, and cost
o Improve pipeline scalability using Snowflake warehouse tuning and compute optimization
o Implement monitoring mechanisms for model drift, data drift, and pipeline health
• Business Collaboration & Translational Analytics
o Partner with business stakeholders (Supply Chain, Sales, Finance) to understand demand planning processes
o Translate business requirements into analytical solutions and ML features
o Support scenario analysis (seasonality, demand variability, supply constraints)
