Job Title: SAP EWM Implementation Consultant
Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Job Description

The primary skill required for this role is SAP EWM Implementation experience. The candidate will be responsible for gathering requirements, designing solutions, configuring SAP WM/EWM modules, and working with cross-functional teams to support warehouse and shipping operations.

 

Responsibilities

·         Drive business blueprint workshops with business and cross-functional teams.

·         Conduct As-Is and To-Be discussions and map business process flows.

·         Gather requirements from Warehouse and Shipping departments, analyze them, and provide solutions based on best practices.

·         Configure, develop, and test changes in SAP WM / SAP S/4 HANA EWM and ensure integration with other modules.

·         Act as single point of contact for configuration, development, and data migration in WM and EWM modules.

·         Work with cross-functional modules including Material Management, Quality Management, Production Planning, and Sales & Distribution.

·         Document processes and train teams for newly implemented solutions.

·         Adapt quickly to changes in timelines and project requirements.

·         Develop and execute test plans for SAP WM and EWM configurations.

 

Required Skills & Experience

·         10+ years of experience in SAP.

·         At least 2 end-to-end implementations with hands-on configuration in SAP WM.

·         At least 2 end-to-end implementations with hands-on configuration in SAP EWM.

·         Experience integrating SAP WM / SAP EWM with Kardex software.

·         Experience working in high-volume distribution centers handling diversified products (Batch and Serialized).

·         Expertise in Cartonization, Quality Inspection Engine, Quantity Classifications, and Warehouse Order Optimization rules.

·         Strong knowledge of SAP EWM master data integrations, inbound, outbound, internal movements, cycle counting, and kitting.

·         Experience integrating with shop floor orders and kitting orders.

 

Technical Expertise

WM / EWM Configuration

·         Warehouse master data and organizational structure setup.

·         Complex storage types, put-away, and stock removal strategies using configuration or BADI.

·         Inbound and put-away processes including palletization, consolidation, and deconsolidation using Handling Units.

·         Outbound shipments and stock removal processes in WM and EWM.

·         Handling Unit Management for Inbound, Internal Movements, and Outbound processes.

Warehouse Operations

·         Warehouse internal processes such as Posting Change Notice and Production Order Staging.

·         Kanban material replenishment in WM.

·         Replenishment within warehouse and between warehouses in WM.

·         Internal processes in EWM such as Replenishment, Cycle Counting, Physical Inventory, and Warehouse Reorganization.

·         Cross-process settings and exception handling using custom solutions in EWM.

·         Experience with Post Processing Framework for standard and custom definitions.

·         Project stock management and customizing WM movement types.

·         Wave Management and wave templates in EWM.

·         Batch Management, Serial Management, Handling Unit / SU management.

·         Cycle counting processes and integration with external WMS.

System Integration & Tools

·         Understanding of ITS Mobile / SAP Fiori, RF devices, RF configuration, and queue management.

·         Experience with outputs, label printing, scanners (RFID, 2D & Linear).

·         Development of WM reports and Warehouse Activity Monitor.

·         Exposure to slotting and warehouse reorganization.

·         Integration knowledge of LE, WM, MM with SD, PP, QM, FI, CO modules.

·         Experience with LSMW, batch job monitoring/creation, and IDoc monitoring.

Development & Technical Knowledge

·         Understanding of ABAP development, debugging, BADI, functional modules, and ALV reports.

·         Work with security teams for roles and authorization.

·         Daily queue management and issue resolution in S/4 and EWM systems.

·         Experience documenting functional design specifications for custom developments.

·         Preferred knowledge of TMS integration.
