Required Skills

1.       Hands-on experience in Oracle Database Administration including installation, patching, and upgrades

2.       Experience with Oracle Exadata Administration

3.       Strong expertise in SQL profiling, performance tuning, database monitoring, backup & restore

4.       Experience with Data Guard and Grid Control toolset

5.       Experience with Oracle Goldengate replication

6.       Hands-on experience with cloud-hosted Oracle databases (OCI, Azure)

7.       Knowledge of DR setup, replication, and disaster recovery exercises

8.       Experience with automation tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, GitLab Runner

9.       Proficiency in scripting (Shell, Python, Perl)

10.    Knowledge of Git/code management practices

11.    Strong understanding of monitoring tools

12.    Understanding of ITIL processes

13.    Experience in automating Environment Delivery (EDT) tasks using Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform, Python, and Shell scripting

14.    Hands-on experience in OCI environment provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management

15.    Experience managing and supporting multi-tenant Oracle database environments

16.    Expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for automated environment deployment and database provisioning in OCI

17.    Experience with automation and orchestration of database, middleware, and infrastructure components

18.    Minimum 8+ years of Oracle DBA experience with production support background

19.    Strong technical knowledge in database domain with exposure to complementary infrastructures

Key Responsibilities

·         Manage Oracle database infrastructure including installation, upgrades, patching, and maintenance

·         Provide technical database support across infrastructure, applications, and related processes

·         Perform performance tuning, monitoring, backup, and recovery activities

·         Manage replication technologies (Data Guard, Goldengate) and DR readiness

·         Participate in planning, design, and development of technical specifications and documentation

·         Support application development by providing inputs on database design and emerging technologies

·         Troubleshoot and resolve user issues, enforce standards, and provide operational support

·         Execute and support DR drills and ensure business continuity readiness

·         Utilize monitoring tools effectively to ensure system health and uptime

·         Collaborate with teams and mentor junior resources in production support

·         Automate Environment Delivery (EDT) processes including provisioning, cloning, refresh, and deployment activities

·         Design and maintain automated OCI-based database and infrastructure deployment solutions

·         Manage and optimize multi-tenant Oracle environments for availability, security, and performance

·         Develop automation frameworks for provisioning, patching, upgrades, and operational activities

·         Collaborate with application, cloud, and infrastructure teams to streamline environment delivery

Good-to-Have Skills

·         Knowledge of finance/banking domain, data structures, and terminology

·         Experience with other databases such as SQL Server, MongoDB, PostgreSQL

·         Understanding of identity frameworks

·         Relevant technical certifications

·         Strong learning agility and ability to adapt to new technologies

·         Good communication and teamwork skills

·         Experience working in fast-paced production environments
