Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with 4+ years of experience in software testing and debugging to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience with manual and automated testing, and the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects throughout the software development lifecycle. You will work closely with developers, QA engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects using defect management tools.
• Investigate application issues, perform root cause analysis, and debug complex software problems.
• Validate bug fixes and ensure software meets business and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with development teams to reproduce, analyze, and resolve reported defects.
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide input on testability and quality improvements.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve test coverage and efficiency.
• Monitor application performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
• Ensure software complies with quality standards, security requirements, and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous process improvements.
• Prepare and maintain testing documentation, defect reports, and quality metrics.
• Support software releases by performing pre-release validation and post-deployment verification.
• Mentor junior team members and promote quality-focused development practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in software testing, debugging, or software engineering.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Experience with manual and automated testing methodologies.
• Proficiency in debugging applications and performing root cause analysis.
• Experience with bug tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.
• Knowledge of API testing using tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
• Familiarity with SQL and database validation.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• ISTQB or other software testing certifications are a plus.
