ATTN: Physics and Physical Science Teachers.  Great opportunity here for some PD.  Take a look at the website and consider taking advantage of this opportunity, especially the BIG SHARE session, being held with other Wisconsin share groups.  I've gone in the past and have not been dissapointed.  Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it his year, but maybe a few people from the area could go together.

If you are interested in attending reply to this message with that intention and maybe you could find a ride share.

Please join us this year for the annual Wisconsin Association of Physics Teachers meeting at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, October 28-29, 2016. For complete program information, visit us at:  http://www.wapt.org/2016-meeting/. Meeting highlights are given below. Many talks and workshops are given by Wisconsin physics and physical science teachers!

On Friday night at 9 p.m. (after the plenary talk), we will be having our first ever "BIG SHARE", a joint meeting of Phox Valley, MAPS, and SPASH. Bring along your favorite teaching idea, homework problem, worksheet, lab, story, or whatever you'd like to share. Share for 10 seconds or 10 minutes. Family members are welcome and the event is completely FREE!

If you would like to attend the rest of the WAPT conference (dinner, workshops, etc.) we would of course be delighted! Registration is $15 (http://www.wapt.org/2016-meeting/registration/). The preregistration deadline is this Friday, October 21. After the deadline, please register onsite.

We look forward to seeing you next Friday!

Mark Lattery,
WAPT Vice President and Program Chair.

We will also review recommendations and resources available from AAPT and PhysTEC (the Physics Teacher Education Coalition).
