Here are a few announcements about upcoming opportunities that didn’t make it into my recent newsletter:
 
  1. The Junior Science and Humanities Symposium deadline to submit an intent to register has been extended to this Friday, Oct 21st. More info: http://www.uwlax.edu/conted/jshs/register-submit-forms/
  2. There will be a webinar on Nov 2nd by the Boston College team behind http://www.sciencepracticesleadership.com/ - they’ll be talking about effective science classroom observations based on the NGSS practices.     . It will be about 1 hr, and will be followed by a discussion of some new science formative assessment tools being created by another grant project.

  4. Bat Week is next week! Details here: http://batweek.org/ includes webinars led by students on their research.
