Hi folks, hope all is well!

We wanted to share with you some initial designs for sections of the new WISE portal that we're building. The portal consists of the WISE homepage and informational content, user account management, the project library, and classroom run management.

Currently, the portal is built as a bunch of mostly standalone jsp pages. We're in the process of restructuring the front-end portal (what we're now calling the WISE "Site") into an Angular application and, in the process, are redesigning all of the pages with updated visuals to complement the new look and UI of the WISE5 VLE, Classroom Monitor, and Authoring Tool.

For the WISE@Berkeley instance, we're also restructuring the WISE project library to highlight a bit more how our project offerings meet relevant science standards in US (namely the new NGSS standards). We'll be adding support for tagging WISE projects with standards-related metadata fields and will allow users to browse and filter based on these. We're also planning to allow authors to attach resources like project guides to their WISE projects.

We'll be showcasing recommended project sequences that secondary science teachers might use as year-long curricula. Our WISE@Berkeley homepage will also feature our "product" (the curriculum sequences and projects) more prominently.

Attached are some initial designs of the new site homepage, teacher home, and student home. We hope this gives you a general idea of the direction we're moving in and how we're hoping to give the WISE portal (or "site") a refresh to match the updates that have been made to the project, grading, and authoring apps over the past couple years.

Let us know if you have any questions or comments and you can also follow along with the new portal development in the PortalRedesignAngular github branch (https://github.com/WISE-Community/WISE/tree/PortalRedesignAngular).

Thanks and hope everyone is doing great!
