Hello all, some of you may not be on the DF list-serve, so I am re-posting this message here as well...
please forgive any redundancy.

***

It is a busy fall this year for us, here at DFA and also at DiaPraxis...
between us, we are actually offering three DF learning opportunities in the US this fall!

I am offering a workshop in Burlington, Vermont, on November 7-9, and another in Voluntown, Connecticut on November 14-16.
During that same timeframe, November 14-16, Jim will be offering a seminar in Durham, North Carolina.

Jim and Jean just sent out a DFA e-mail newsletter a few days ago, which many of you may have seen already,
with a great photo of Jim, as well as their upcoming fall seminar schedule. Of particular interest is a link
to the upcoming Surfing Democracy II conference in Austria; the focus this year will be public participation in the European regions.

I also sent out a DiaPraxis e-mail newsletter recently. In addition to news about my upcoming workshops,
it also features two translations, for those of you who may be wanting to learn more about the DF work that is happening in Europe....
The first is an article that appeared in the  Austrian magazine BioRama, on public engagement in the Vorarlberg region.
The second is on a specific public engagement project in the area of the former  Mauthausen concentration camp.

After sending out that newsletter, I have finished another translation: a webpage announcing new legislation
the State constitutional amendment specifically relating to public participation,  from the State of Vorarlberg's public website.

There is a ton more material that could be translated... even with Google translate, it's still a lot of work!
So if you know anyone who may be interested in contributing to this work, do let us know...

Of course, DF is not just for public engagement work... as many of you already know, is also highly useful in the business world,
helping people in workplaces communicate across organizational silos. That's been the focus of some earlier DiaPraxis newsletters:
If you've not signed up already and would like to stay tuned, you can sign up for future issues here...
and of course, feel free to share this information, with anyone you know who may be interested!

Ok, that's all for now... would love to have you join us at some of these upcoming workshops!
In the meantime, would love to hear more, about what others of you are doing...

with all best wishes,

Rosa
