I have been trying to reach this group to join in the conversation but
seem to be hitting the wrong button or wrong group or both. Hopefully
I'll reach you this time around.

I really liked the you tube that Adam sent about Jeremy Rifkin. I'd
never heard of him. But he seems to have a handle on where the human
race needs to go. It's scary to think that time is such a big factor
in all this. We have speeded up our communications and at the same
time we have speeded up the rate that we could become extinct as a
species. As a matter of synchronicity, I went to an Empathy Cafe this
past Friday night. It was given by NYCNVC (New York City Non Violent
Communication).
I had taken some workshops with them a few years ago. They are getting
people to communicate non violently. They profess that what every
human wants is empathy. They want space to feel free and open
enough to talk and be understood. It sounds easy but in a very small
amount of time you can spill your guts out and feel very vulnerable.
But that's what it's all about. It's a way to understand what your
feelings and needs are and let another person or people know that.

I have also been going to the Rubin Museum recently. It's a wonderful
museum. I feel it's an oasis of
beauty and spirituality in the heart of Manhattan. I have gone to two
of their lunchtime documentary programs. One was on music, sound and
the sacred and the other was on oneness. I plan to go to one on July
21 at 1pm on Rumi poet of the heart. It's with Coleman Barks, Robert
Bly, Deepak Chopra and
Michael Meade and Huston Smith. If anyone would like to join me, I'd
love it.

Dear Hazi,
Sorry it's been so difficult - new technology has a large learning
curve, I know. My firefox browser for a few weeks wasn't allowing me
to access the group, but Google's new browser CHROME did. So I
switched. Now they both do - go figure?

I love the synchronicity of "Empathy". As we strive to heal ourselves
and the planet, and merge with the healing forces within and around
us, so as to embody the empathetic pulse within the universe and
therefor within us - we become it. And, at the same time, observe it.
Now, in reality - whether that means we "save it" or dissolve it -
that in itself, is a fascinating proposition I think. A conversation
to be continued....

I would love to join you on July 21st at 1 pm. Rumi is one of my
favorites.

Thanks for sharing.

Hi Rhonda....I'm so happy you're joining me for the Rumi documentary.
I think it will really be good.

One more thing I wanted to talk to you about. I woke up last night to go to the bathroom
and I thought I saw a ghost of my Mom in the kitchen right near the living room where
I was sleeping. Since I was sleepy, I wasn't sure if I was really seeing it or not. I went
to the bathroom and then went closer (I wasn't scared). It dissolved. The spirit was of
my Mom holding my cat and she was younger. I couldn't see details only a life-sized
figure. I just went back to bed.
I know you said we might see spirits. I've never seen one, nor am I sure of this either.
I thought you might have insight about this.

Dear Hazi,
It is hard for me to say one way or the other, what you saw. But I can
say, that this process we are experiencing as a group will open you to
the veils and who/what passes through. I was planning on talking about
spirits and visitations at tomorrow's class - so a very apropos
happening.

I'm glad you were not fearful and were able to go back to bed. I would
ponder for myself, what it meant to you to see your Mom that evening
holding your cat, what it brought up for you, what message it might
have held for you.

Hope that helps. Talk more tomorrow.

Dear Hazi,

Thanks for inviting us and sharing this. I have never heard of the Rumi Museum before and of Empathy but I am really curious and interested to be a part of it. I was excited to add it to my calendar until I realized I have class around that time. I will have to go for a visit some other time. Thank you for sharing-I learnt something new :)

have a beautiful evening,

Jocelyne

Hi Jocelyne

Thanks for responding. I'm sorry you have a class and can't make it to the documentary
on Rumi at the Rubin Museum. In any case, if you've never been to the Rubin Museum,
I'd recommend it. It's really a beautiful place and it has great programs and a fabulous
gift shop too. See you tonight at Rhonda and Dave's.
Enjoy....Hazinat
:-)
