Greetings SORNA registration officials,

Please join the Office of Sex Offender Sentencing, Monitoring, Apprehending, Registering and Tracking (SMART) for a webinar about identifying and combatting human trafficking. To successfully fight human trafficking, law enforcement officers and those in the public sector need to understand the nuances of this crime, including the tactics traffickers use, the populations most vulnerable to being victimized, and red flag indicators of human trafficking. In this webinar Dylan Wecht, the Public Sector Engagement Specialist at Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT), will speak about TAT’s mission training law enforcement and members of the transportation industry on how to identify human trafficking at routine interdiction and inspection stops and how law enforcement agencies can mobilize key industries to be an extra set of eyes and ears on the roads in their states and tribal communities.

This webinar is part of the SMART Office’s ongoing effort to provide training and technical assistance to all SORNA jurisdictions and is intended for registry officials of all experience levels and other criminal justice personnel.
