so very patient while we go through the long process of formalizing an
entirely new ticketing procedure for this year’s event. There are more

2015 TICKET PROCEDURES
Ticket registration opens March 16th - April 6th, 2015! YOU MUST
REGISTER TO GET A TICKET.
LAKES OF FIRE EVENT DATES
Lakes of Fire 2015 will be held from noon on Wednesday, June 17, to
noon on Sunday, June 21.
EVENT PRICE
Tickets will cost $90 general admission + ~$2.92 in WePay fees.* The
money pays expenses for the event and for the Great Lakes Experimental
Arts (G.L.E.A.) year-round presence. Children 12 and under (born on or
after June 18, 2002) are free.
Volunteers who qualified for a discounted ticket by working the
required number of shifts/hours last year are entitled to a special
price of $45 (+ ~$1.60 in WePay fees). Please see volunteer section
below for more details.
LAKES OF FIRE’S TICKET LOTTERY
Tickets for Lakes of Fire 2015 will be offered by way of a randomized
lottery (similar to system used by another regional Firefly, in
Vermont.) Based on expected demand from previous years, more LoFers
will register for the Lottery than there are tickets available. Those
registrants whose numbers are not randomly selected will be put on a
ticket wait list. Every registrant selected in the Lottery can
purchase tickets for themselves and up to two additional registrants,
during the approximately three-week purchasing window from March 16th
to April 6th. Once tickets are purchased, tickets may be refunded to
the wait list; but are not otherwise transferable. Tickets are
non-transferable, except to other registrants, BEFORE the purchase is
finalized. Once the purchase is finalized, tickets cannot be
transferred.
GENERAL REGISTRATION INFORMATION
On or after Monday, March 16th, go to
http://www.lakesoffire.org/ticketinfo/, and look for the REGISTER tab.
If you don’t see one on Monday the 16th, just come back later. The
link will be live soon, but it’s NOT first come first served. Just
register at any point during the several-week registration period, and
you will get into the lottery.
Getting a ticket to Lakes of Fire starts with creating an account in
our registration system. YOU MUST REGISTER TO GET ANY SHOT AT GETTING
A TICKET, AT ANY TIME. That link will go live on March 16th.
Each LoF attendee must register with a unique email address and
provide his or her full name and birth date as they appear on a
government-issued, photo ID.
When a registrant receives a ticket offer (during the lottery, or from
the wait list), it will be tied to his or her name and birth date and
is NOT transferable to anyone else, although winning registrants will
be able to purchase up to two additional tickets for other
registrants.
Additional tickets will be tied to the registrant IDs provided;
friends or loved ones for whom you are purchasing tickets must
complete their own registration and give you their registration ID
number prior to checkout.
Tickets cannot, under any circumstances, be transferred to an
unregistered party. Please see the section on Lottery and Wait List
for more details.
Any person showing up at LoF without a ticket associated with their
name and birth date will be turned away. Minors under 18 will not need
to present ID at gate; see Minors section below. Persons unable to
provide a standard government-issued ID must contact tickets (at)
lakesoffire {dot} org. The deadline for entry request with no
government-issued ID is Wednesday, June 10 at 12 p.m. EST. All
information will be kept confidential.
VOLUNTEER TICKETS SALES
People who qualify for a volunteer ticket will be notified at the
email address provided to the volunteer team last year starting
Thursday, March 12. Volunteer tickets are $45 (+ ~$1.60 in WePay fees)
per person, and only one ticket is available during the volunteer
ticket sale. Volunteer ticket sales will begin Thursday, March 12th,
2015, and will go through Monday, March 30, 2015.
DATES FOR REGISTRATION OF MAIN SALE TICKETS
Registration for the Lottery will open Monday, March 16, 2016, and
close Monday, April 6, 2015 at 12 p.m. EST. Anyone who registers after
this period will be added to the end of the waitlist in order of
registration.
We believe this new procedure will:
1) REMOVE unnecessary bottlenecks, with no need to sit at your desk at
some specified time, just to get tickets.
2) ENCOURAGE a well-prepared and motivated participant base
3) PROVIDE more equitable ticketing procedures to the community at large
4) REDUCE hoarding

All participants except for organizers, DPW, and LNT must be off the
property by 3:00 P.M.

GIFTING: From all, to all, with love!
Lakes of Fire is devoted to acts of gift giving. The value of a gift
is unconditional. Gifting does not contemplate a return or an exchange
for something of equal value.
That’s also from Burning Man’s 10 Principles. Gifts don’t have to be
physical to be valuable. Help someone else with their tent. Take a
moment to check on someone having a bad day. Repair a busted outfit on
the fly. These are ways to give back to the Lakes of Fire community
without spending a dime.
