Whew!
We at G.L.E.A. hope your Lakes of Fire 2014 experience was chock full
o’ glory; that your kraken has been fully released, and that your
modest sunburn has dissipated. It’s not always easy to transition from
Lakes of Fire into your “normal life,” (ha ha ha, or whatever) but we
hope you have found decompressing into the day-to-day to be relatively
painless, and free of soul-crushing despair. We lofers may need a day
of adjustment or two, but we'll all be calling the so-called "Default
World" by the more fun title of "Planet Awesome" soon. After all, the
Man burns in just 58 days!
In addition, we are pleased to announce that this incredible community
donated over 500 pounds of food to the local Lutheran food kitchen in
the Montague area. THANK YOU burners, for giving something back!
If you lost something at RELEASE THE KRAKEN, it's quite possible that
it was found. A great place to starting looking on-line, though, is
Lakes of Fire's Facebook Group:

GRATITUDE: Thank you!
They say that Gratitude is the Eleventh Burning Man principle, and
after such an amazing weekend, it's hard to know where to start. Thank
you, Lakes of Fire community, for bringing it so incredibly well to
RELEASE THE KRAKEN! To the Volunteers, the Participants, Theme Camps,
Artists, and moties of every stripe, make and model - YOU are what
makes Lakes of Fire the gorgeous event that it is. From our heart of
hearts, we at Great Lakes Experimental Arts, Inc., want to thank you
for being such an amazing community. We love you, and thank you for
your participation!
In particular, your friends at the Fire Art and Safety Team (F.A.S.T.)
would like to thank all the fire artists who participated. Not only
did you make the event more fun, but you did so in safe and sane
manner. GRATITUDE!
Your friendly volunteer coordinators would like to send a HUGE thank
you to everyone who donated any amount of their time to make the event
happen. Without you, there just ain’t no Lakes of Fire, which is no
fun at all! GRATITUDE!

PICS ‘N’ VIDS: Keep ‘em coming!
The pictures and videos are already starting to come on-line,
especially at Lakes of Fire's Facebook Group, found here:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/200999036580559/, and the Event Page,
found here,
https://www.facebook.com/events/1403530759887142/ .
Typically Event Page starts to get pretty quiet after a week or so,
but that first one, the group, runs year round and is a great way to
stay in contact with your Lakes of Fire community.
Please recall that Great Lakes Experimental Arts, Inc., may choose to
use your photographs or videos online, explicitly for the purposes of
promoting Lakes of Fire. Your images and videos will NEVER be sold or
commodified in any way, and if we use yours, we'll credit you!

SURVEY: Let us know!
Your friends at Lakes of Fire are already looking forward to next
year, but we'd be crazy if we didn't take a few moments to reflect
upon 2014, and your participation is definitely needed! Just take a
few moments to fill out this important survey, so that your friends at
Lakes of Fire's organizing Team Lead committee know where we need to
improve for next year. Please fill out this critical participant
survey!

Thanks again to all who made this year’s event a reality. We hope to
see you at Burning Man 2014: Caravansary, or at Lakes of Fire 2015!
