The
lunch menu for today is: Mexican Taco or Nachos with Meat, Cheese and
Shell, Pintos and Cheese, Fresh Garden Salad with Choice of Dressing,
Peaches and Milk.
Let’s keep the challenge alive. Make sure you are journaling regularly, accepting others and doing kind acts.
Woodlands
students respect the opinion of others whether they agree with the
other person or not. During a discussion, you should respect the other
students’ comments, opinions, and ideas. Listen to their thoughts
attentively and do not interrupt until they have finished their entire
thought. Then when possible you can make statements like, “I agree with
you, and I also feel that…” or “You made a valid point but I disagree
with you because...” or “I feel you made an excellent observation and it
made me realize…” At no time do Woodland Students put down or make fun
of another student for their opinion, thought or idea that they share. You never know who might be watching! Be a positive influence
Huron
Winter Sports T-Shirts are here. Order forms can be picked up in the
office. Remember any Huron student who buys a t-shirt and wears them to a
high school winter event will receive $2 off of their student ticket
price. Please return your order form and money to the office.
Pajama Drive – Join the 4th
grade in collecting pajama’s for needy children. This drive is part of
the Scholastic Book Pajama Program. Scholastic will add a book with
every new pair of pajamas collect. If you would like to donate a new
pair of pajamas place them in one of the donation boxes located in the
office, cafeteria or a 4th grade classroom. The last day to donate is December 2nd.
Kids
Care Club will meet Monday, November 28 right after school in the
cafeteria. Kid's Care Club members are asked to bring in a
non-perishable food item with them on the 28th to be donated to the
local food pantry.
Please make sure you have a ride home at 4:30.
Support
our troops. Abby and John Lowy’s brother has been deployed to
Afghanistan. The troops are in need of many items. If you need a list of
things they need it can be picked up in the office. The homeroom with
the most items donated will win a pizza party. The last day to donate is
November 30.
Boys Biddy basketball on Saturday will be held at Woodlands from 10 - 12.
Girls 6th grade basketball practice that was scheduled for Tuesday has been canceled.
