Let’s keep Rachel Challenge alive. Make sure you are journaling regularly, accepting others and doing kind acts. Make sure you recognize those students that are performing random acts of kindness by completing a chain link for them. Let's start a chain reaction of kindness!
Our Value Word for the Week is Leadership
Leadership is - the position or function of a leader, a person who guides or directs a group: ability to lead: an act or instance of leading; guidance; direction: the leaders of a group
Jim Rohn once said ~ “ The challenge of leadership is to be strong, but not rude; be kind, but not weak; be bold, but not bully; be thoughtful, but not lazy; be humble, but not timid; be proud, but not arrogant; have humor, but without folly. ”
If you win or do well at something, do not brag. If you loose, or do poorly at something do not show anger. Instead Woodlands Students say something like, “I really enjoyed the competition, and I look forward to playing against you again,” or “Good Game,” or don’t say anything at all. To show anger or sarcasm, such as “I wasn’t playing hard anyway. You really aren’t that good,” shows weakness. Woodlands Students always treat each other with respect. Remember if you do not have something nice to say then don’t say anything at all.
Make sure you are coming to school each day, doing all your work and making good decisions while you are here so you can be invited to the third quarter reward day - Movie Day
The PTO would like to remind all students to please have their Malley's order forms in tomorrow Friday, March 1. They will not accept any late order forms this year. If you cannot get the form in, you will need to order on-line. The top winner will be announced just before spring break. Thank you for your hard work in selling and we hope to have a successful fundraiser.
Yearbooks can still be ordered on-line through Ripcho. Stop by the office for more information if you still want a yearbook.
Congratulations to the 5th and 6th grade Academic Challenge Teams. 5th grade placed 3rd and 6th grade placed 1st
