Attention Ecology Club Members:  Help save the planet Thursday! Our meeting will be after school on Thursday until 4:30 in Mrs. LaCrosse's room.  Please make sure you make arrangements for someone to pick you up.

This week our word is optimism.  Tom Hanks once said, “Truth is, I'll never know all there is to know about you just as you will never know all there is to know about me. Humans are by nature, too complicated to be understood fully. So, we can choose either to approach our fellow human beings with suspicion or to approach them with an open mind, a dash of optimism and a great deal of candor.”

If you win or do well at something, do not brag. If you loose, or do poorly at something do not show anger. Instead Woodlands Students say something like, “I really enjoyed the competition, and I look forward to playing against you again,” or “Good Game,” or don’t say anything at all. To show anger or sarcasm, such as “I wasn’t playing hard anyway. You really aren’t that good,” shows weakness. Woodlands Students always treat each other with respect. Remember if you do not have something nice to say then don’t say anything at all.
