Plenty of tickets left for this event! This is a great fundraiser and will be a lot of fun. Who doesn't like Jameson and Guinness? Invite all (friends, spouses, lovers, somewhat-significant others, etc.). Buy tickets BEFORE you come.

On the evening of Friday, 16 November, starting at 7pm, the club will be hosting a tasting event in conjunction with Hoban's. Ambassadors from Jameson and Guinness will be bringing a variety of products for folks to taste, there will be food available in a buffet-style format, and we'll have a tab open for beers (Guinness, Smithwick's, Harp) for a couple of hours.

This is a great fundraising opportunity for the club, as we'll be receiving a percentage of each ticket sold. Hoban's will be advertising the event to their customers, so it's not an Irish-only event, but we profit from good numbers: Irish players are encouraged to both buy a ticket and to spread the word to friends. Tickets will be $50, but the first 20 sold to Irish players will go for $40 each.  

Purchase tickets on the website (http://www.washingtonirishrfc.org/dues.php) just like you'd pay your dues (PAY YOUR DUES). Just pay $50 for each ticket you want to buy; if you're one of the first 20, the club will give you your $10 back.

Remember, not only are you getting plenty of food, a few high-quality Irish beers, and tastings of a range of premium Irish whiskeys, but you're helping the club stay in the black, defray your drinking costs every Saturday afternoon, and keep dues the lowest in town.

Great win yesterday and way to end the season on a high note. Looking into this week, mark your calendars and don't forget to buy tickets for Friday's Jameson and Guinness tasting.
