Hello

Just got my Tag Manager and created account and added the serial number of the tag manager via web app as instructions. Plugged into ADSL2+ modem ethernet port and doesn't work (red light flashing on the ! light).

Disabled firewall on modem...didn't work. Disabled firewall on my computer (don't know why this matter) but still doesn't work. Restarted my modem a few hundred times, still doesn't work.

Tried to associate a tag. Web app says "Tag Manager not connected to the Internet".

Any thoughts and assistance would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Thank you for your reply. Please see my comments/questions below (in red) to help resolve.

  1. the tag manager cannot find Ethernet signal (Ethernet cable or Ethernet port you are using is bad),
I have tested port with other devices. Port and cable is not faulty.

  1. the router you connected tag manager to does not support 10-Base/T (some router only supports 100-Base/T, so you need a Ethernet switch between the router and the Tag manager,) or
Router supports 10/Base/T. See spec: http://www.netspace.net.au/bob/specs/

  1. DHCP server is disabled on the network (devices require static IP to connect).
So do I need to disable or enable DHCP? Do I adjust the router configuration?

If the "!" light is flashing rapidly, a few times per second, it means your firewall is blocking outgoing TCP port 6667 connection. some corporate network allows only outgoing TCP port HTTP(80) and HTTPS(443) so Tag manager cannot be used inside such network.

I have contacted my Internet provider. port 6667 is not blocked.

First of all, is it flashing ~once per second or more quickly?

Are you able to see the tag manager device on the device list on your router configuration page? The tag manager MAC address starts with 00:04:A3
