Hi I am a new user and just trying to set the optimal settings for long battery life. I am using this primarily as a temperature sensor for my baby's room and it triggers my Wemo that is hooked up to the space heater in the room. I have IFTTT rules set up so that it turns temperature monitoring on and off between sleeping hours and I have rules set up to trigger Wemo when the room is either too cold or too hot.

My confusion is that there seems to be two places where you can set the intervals:

1. temperature sensor interval
2. tag update interval

My question is which update triggers IFTTT? For example, if I set temperature sensor intervals at every 5 mins but set tag updates to every 4 hours, will IFTTT trigger my Wemo when it is detected that it is too cold or wait til the next 4 hour interval to update the server?

Follow up question to this is.. does the tag interval updates have any baring on battery life? If it doesn't, I might as well set it to every 5 mins to match the temperature interval.

(FYI, i have the Wireless Sensor Tag 13-bit Temperature and Humidity)

Thanks!
Jason

>1. temperature sensor interval
This is the interval temperature is read for generating too hot/ too cold/back to normal events.

>2. tag update interval
This is the interval temperature&humidity is transmitted to tag manager & logged on the cloud for building graphs/CSV file.  Transmission takes far more power than reading temperature sensor.

No it will not wait 4 hours.
