I am interested in using the wireless tags as a home security system - I was wondering if anyone had this set up?

The easiest thing to do seemed to be using IFTTT to set multiple conditions e.g. If mobile device is outwith radius of home location and sensor detects movement then set alarm. Multiple conditions on IFTTT don't seem to be possible however.

If anyone has a home security system setup can you describe your config

Cheers

Hi Aidan

I have had great success using the system with 18 sensors to cover my home. A great feature of IFTTT is i use a spare tag as my alert system. I have linked a tag, say on my back door to beep or turn on the LED on another tag. The spare Alarm tag can be taken anywhere in the home i.e. side of your bed.  my phone is on Silent but when the back door is opened the red LED flashes on the Alarm tag and I know that there is an issue or it beeps. i have also linked doors and PIR's to wemo switches so when a door is opened a light comes on. So when I pull in to my drive i see a particular light is on and know an issue has happened or someone is in the house, back this up with PIR and you can track movement. The options are endless. I also have Kumoapps which are lighting fast and do not have a delay, IFTTT takes about 5 seconds to trip while Kumoapps are instant.

I have several PIR's these work very well. I have not once had a false alarm and I have been using PIRs for over a year!
