Hi there, I'm new to this forum and just got myself a tag manager and 5 sensor tags (shipped Oct 2015).  I tested the first tag to detect door open/closed, and it worked well, and then decided to switch its receiver mode from the default "Setup Mode" to "Low Power Mode" to save battery.  Upon doing this, the tag no longer responds to any of my commands.  Its light began flashing.  Tried moving the tag manager closer to within a few feet, no success.  Removed the battery and put it back in, also no success.  In the end, followed the instructions to short the two pins to reset to factory state and re-associate.  OK now.

Anyone having similar issues / symptoms?  Thanks!

Also wanted to say that this is a great product and great concept, thanks and keep up the good work!

Not looking good. After resetting the tag and running it for about a week, the tag got itself into low power mode without me changing any configuration. The reason I know is because it stopped responding to all my tag manager commands, and when I checked its current Receiver Mode, it says Low Power Mode.

Before I reset and re associate, I was wondering if support can comment please? The tag is not reliable because of this inconsistency.

Thanks

This is the first time we heard low power mode makes tag unresponsive. I looked at your account, I think it is because you have chosen "Disable auto-update". Tags use auto-update to periodically communicates with the tag manager to internally compensate for frequency drift of crystal that may be caused by temperature change and aging. I have changed the code so that if auto-update is disabled the server will not attempt to automatically set low power mode (which we do after 1 week of non-user interaction).

Please apply a flash reset again and set an auto-update period 1 hour. At this interval the battery drain is really negligible.
