I have a brand new PIR KimoSensor that I switched to 'Low Power Mode' soon after connecting to it for the first time.

In Low Power Mode' it was still returning temperature and humidity data, but it was totally unresponsive when I tried arming the PIR, and I could not switch it back to 'Setup' received mode so I remove the battery and reinserted it.

Since then, it has been totally unresponsive (the light not even flashing when the battery is inserted). The tag has also been de-associated with the account to no avail.

I have another PIR KumoSensor that was set up at the same time (and it also has been tried in 'Low Power Mode' and reverted to 'Setup' after a battery change), but it did not have this problem and is working fine.

How do I identify pins 1 and 3 to connect in order to reset it? - the photos on the website for doing this do not bear any resemblance to the PIR Kumosensor. Thank you.

Message received from support about how to correctly identify the pins to reset a PIR KumoSensor:

The PIR reset procedure is identical to that of the tag, if you open the case you will see 5 holes in a row (easy to see from the back side of the board) with one hole at the edge being square (hole #1) momentarily connect #1 & #3 using a metal tweezer or paper clip and let go. The sensor should start to flash and you can associate it like a new sensor.

Hi Andre,
I did exactly the same thing, I've put a tag in low power mode by mistake, and it is no longer responding. I have also tried to reset it using this method but it doesn't work in my case.

Did you manage to get yours to work?

Hi Senyo,

No, resetting it had absolutely no effect - completely dead (and the battery is brand new with over 3v) - I'm waiting for a response from them about my request to return it and have it replaced as a faulty item. (It must be faulty as the reset procedure works fine on another tag I have that is working fine).

I was initially struggling with latency issues with that tag, so it stands to reason that it might be faulty. I have also made a request for a replacement so fingers crossed we'll get a response sometime soon.
