My internet provider sometimes resets the connection. During the reset procedure all services go offline. It lasts for a couple of minutes. The problem is that tag manager does not go online after that. It just keeps displaying red color. Web interface says that it is offline. However if I unplug and re-plug the Ethernet cable, it goes online immediately.

Why can't tag manager retry Internet connection if it lost it? If I am away, I have no monitoring after the connection was reset. This is not good at all :( The whole point of this system is to work without user's intervention automatically. And it does not do it.

this used to happen to me until I purchased 2 tag managers that shipped after May 2013 which had an updated firmware and I have never encountered the issue again. so for two year it has been stable. amazing unit.

Hi Dmitry,

If you can reproduce this problem, please connect a PC between the tag manager and the router (you may need a cross over cable) and use Wireshark to capture the packets to/from tag manager's MAC address during the entire time and send to us. We will check if you can make it work by configuring your environment or see if we can update your firmware to make it work.

Hi!

Is it possible to update the firmware without sending the device to you?

If we determine that a corrected firmware can fix your problem (i.e. your problem is caused by a bug in the firmware) we will send another tag manager to you at no charge.
