Is there a way to have the Nest Link only be able to control the fan? I like the features and interface of the nest and i basically want to leave it in control of the temperature.
The issue i'm trying to correct via kumoapp is with the upper
level bedroom being too warm during all seasons when the air stratifies. I have a wireless sensor tag there and i have an IFTTT channel that will turn on the fan when it becomes 'too hot' but that will only run the fan for 15 minutes at a time. If it doesn't come down below the threshold of 'too hot', the recipie doesn't re-trigger. I'd like to replace that IFTTT recipie with a kumo app that looks at the temperature at the nest and the temperature of the upper bedroom. I want the fan to run until they are within X degrees of each other.
Does that seem possible without disturbing the temperature control at the nest?

This would probably rely on the Nest API and if it allows 3rd party control of just the fan, which i imagine it does becasue I have IOS widgets that can control just the fan.
