When a battery is replaced do they switch to setup mode automatically?

I noticed that all 4 of my managers at different locations have had tags set back to setup mode.

When i started replacing batteries I double checked all of my 22 sensors and found some back in setup mode.
I made sure they were all back and today i get a low battery notification from another sensor in setup mode.

These things should automatically switch to low power mode after a set period.  Something is messed up,  I have been a user of these devices  for many years so not sure whats happening .

Hopefully the maker can check the logs to see what is happening .

Yes. For good user experience, when user manually switches to setup mode, the choice is stored so the system does not automatically switch it to low power mode.  But not the other way around.

If user doesn't touch the setting, when the system detects good signal strength and low and stable frequency error for a period of time without user issuing any command (like arm, beep etc), it is switched to low power mode automatically.
Nothing about this has changed for at least a year.

Also, forgot to mention if the signal strength drops below certain level, or when frequency error (fixed by "calibrate frequency") goes above some level, the system automatically attempts to switch it back to "setup mode".

This is causing problems.  Can you have it send a message when it switches to setup mode or is having connection issues?

Also i opened a support ticket a few times over a month ago and no reply.  Where do I go for support for a defective waterproof sensor?

Yes that would be a good idea as such event should not be very frequent.  What is your ticket number?

it is in the support portal on the app,  it does not have a ticket number.

The system will decide to switch back to setup mode if the signal is too weak or there is too much frequency offset.  You can enable email notification when this happens from the new "Notfications and Reports" menu.  The email will include info about signal level and frequency  offset.

I just tried to enable this new option for all my devices and got this error message:  Please advise....

The parameterized query '(@device_uuid varchar(8000),@disabled bit,@mac char(12),@tempRep' expects the parameter '@device_uuid', which was not supplied

This error has been fixed. It happens in rare case when the customer has neither iPhone nor Android app installed, therefore was not covered by test case .

Must have been related to your type of phone,  on my s8 i tried it yesterday had no issue   It worked  great when i manually changed it as well - sent a email .     I see they mentioned it has been fixed so maybe your phone now wont have a issue.  Great feature!

Seems this is still an issue.  I have had some sensors get switched to set up mode r mode with no alert.  When i switch it back to low power mode i get an alert email.  You can see this by using "reset states"  i suspect somehow the sensors are resting states  with no notification?

This is killing the battery with no time to replace it.
