Pardon the newbie but I need some help to understand.
Is the auto update required to get email alerts or is auto update only used for real-time monitoring via app and/or website?
I'm starting out with some moisture sensors (hopefully moisture/water proofed by applying liquid electrical tape) in the lawn and garden and my temp sensor in the freezer.
The moisture sensors I'll ask for an update when I need it.
For the tag in the freezer I want an alert notification/email if/when it goes out of range of selected temp.
If I have auto update off, will I still get my alerts from the temp sensor?
Basically I'm trying to stretch battery life to the max, especially the temp sensor in the cold.
