I have a PIR and Tag manager (and some other tags) and it's all working great, UNTIL I try to use URL Call.  Then the first time a call is triggered the Tag Manager lights up the red exclamation point and hangs.  The only way to un-hang it is to power it off & on again.

The URL Call is simple, local, and there is an immediate response from the device it goes to.  Here is what it looks like:

It is set to use Private IP Address.

If I enter the same URL in any browser it works every time.

Why does this call hang the Tag Manager?

Thanks,
William

Is there anyone here who has URL Calls working with Private IP address?  I have tried everything I can think of and every time it hangs the Tag Manager.

Thanks,
William

Yes, I am using local URL calling to send calls to a Vera home automation controller. It works with no issues.

I would love to see how you have it set up, can you post screen caps of one of the URL calls that works?
Thanks!

Here's what my web app configuration looks like.  I have removed the IP address of my Vera, as well as the scene number, but it captures the gist of it.

Hi Bill

I just replied your email it seems that your server that the URL is calling is returning connection: keep-alive header. The tag manager expects that your server closes the connection (connection: close). The "!" light will stay lit until the connection is closed by your server.

This is exactly what was happening. Thank you for this insight.  I have changed the server to not use a keep-alive header, and now the Tag Manager has no problem with my URL calls.
