Hi,
I had a KumoApp that basically triggered an update on all tags, as one specific tag was updated.

This was a "solution" to the fact that the tags don't respond immediately as they are in range (takes at least 2 hours before this happens via normal ways). With that, a tag at home would update and trigger updates on the others and if they were In Range, Tag Manager would "find" them.

Happens that, without any notice, system admin just deleted this App, simply mentioning it consumes a lot of CPU memory.

1.) Would be polite, if not correct, to at least send a note mentioning this would be done
2.) Would not hurt also to try to find a solution for one of my open tickets (more than 4 months), instead of deleting the one I found

So, please, what solution can be in place so the tags will be recognized "In Range" immediately?

Regards,

Senyo

Hi mate,
I have just published a kumoapp I use call "when back in range update."
The idea is that you install it to act on the event of the first tag you trigger when you re-enter the house, I use a pir sensor by the front door. You then select the tags you would like to update.
Give this ago and seen how you get on... That's If they approve the publication..
I think your problem might be that by updating all the tags at once you're demanding too much off the cpu..?

Hi Senyo,

I also have a similar setup in place as a workaround solution for that. I added a PIR sensor that, when detects movement, trigger updates on selected tags. If they are in the range, they can be found. What happens is, while this should be quite straight forward, it just don't work. Sometimes the tag is only recognized a couple hours later.

The other solution was really consuming batteries, but not exactly CPU.

So now, in short summary, I carry a useless tag with me since the main purpose is not being accomplished. And worse, not a single word from support here or in the help desk.

Thanks anyway.

ps: from time to time KumoApps just disarm the PIR Sensor and does not arm again. So I would have to check very often if the PIR is armed. Not sure why, this just happens.
