I see sensor state changes in Tag Manager, I see events are recorded in Events list, but no push notifications. It happens on Android phones with different OS versions - 11 and 14. I've tried to re-register my phone without luck. There is no power management for the app. I'll appreciate any help with this issue.

Does anybody else here not receiving any Android push notifications? We just fixed Android push notifications arriving issue (due to Google changing their API) a few months ago it can't be the case that the API changed again? Nothing has changed on our side related to code sending push notifications.

I have the same problem.  No notifications have arrived for more than two weeks, despite triggering of reed-switch, PIR-motion, and temperature sensors.  I can see sensor state changes in the Tag Manager, and I see events recorded in the Events list, but no push notifications are received.  This occurs on multiple Android phones, running versions 11 and 15.  Checking phone settings, clearing the app cache, reinstalling the app, and re-registering the phone all have no effect.

I am still not receiving any push notifications on my Android phones from wireless tags.

I noticed that Android documents on Notifications -- <https://developer.android.com/develop/ui/views/notifications> and <https://developer.android.com/develop/ui/views/notifications/build-notification> -- were last updated on 12/20/2024, so perhaps there have been additional changes to the API recently?

Thanks for checking and reporting this issue;  This is caused by Google recently requiring app apps to target API level 34 (Android 14) which contains breaking API changes, and we had to follow this in the last app update without fully checking for any issues caused by changing target API level.  This issue appears when the app is installed newly (rather than updated from previous version).

A fix has been submitted to Google Play,  it is version 395 (3.3.13).
Release note:  "Fixed compatibility issue with Android 14 (API level 34) that causes newly installed app to not being able to ask for push notification permission.
Before this update, notification categories like "Too hot/cold", "Motion/door events" are created the first time a push message arrives, with user specified sound. But Android 14 expects apps to create category ahead of time before being able to request push notification permission. A default sound is now assigned to each category."

Please update to this version and let me know.

Thanks.  I have installed the new version (3.3.13) on both phones (Android 11 and 15).  Now I can see the multiple notification channels listed under "unused categories" in the Notifications configuration section, which I could not see before, but it still says "This app has not posted any notifications."  All notification channels are enabled.  I still do not receive any push notifications.  (I also tried clearing app data, removing app, restarting phone, then installing new app; also re-registering phone.  Still no notifications.)

I updated the server side Google FCM library version from Sept 2024 to Nov 2024.  Does the https://my.wirelesstag.net/eth/signin.html  => Reset Password => Send Reset Link by Push work?

It just tried it.  It says that it is pushing the link to both phones.  However, no notification arrives at either phone.

OK, I found out the problem...  The Firebase configuration file on our server was mistakenly deleted.  It has just now been restored.

It is working here again, too.  Thanks.
