Low temp monitoring

I'd like to add a -80C freezer to the list of items I'm monitoring, but your tags only operate down to ~ -45C.  I only need to monitor this unit for complete failure (temp rise to about -30 to -20C). 

Two questions:

1)  is there a Wireless Tag-compatible sensor that will work for this application?

2)  if not, is it feasible to place one of your Tags in the freezer, let it go offline at -80C, giving me an 'out-of-range' message, but expect it to wake up and begin reporting again if the temp rises to -30 to -20C, thereby notifying me in the event of freezer failure?

You could use the Reed sensor tag and a DS18B20 external temperature probe that’s rated for that temperature. Then you could keep the tag outside the freezer.
