Our range has been set to 36-46 degrees F. This has normally worked well in the bast, but recently, we are receiving "is too cold" alerts while the temperature is 39.2. Another alert follows about 10 minutes later saying "returned to normal with the same temperature. Is something wrong on the server?

Maybe it is due to single temperature spikes. You can change the option to increase the "notify after consecutive ... readings" number (you can choose from 1 (default) up to 99).
