Wemo switches not working

I have a number of Wemo switches connected to my network. All devices operate correctly from the Belkin Wemo app. These units have also been associated by way of the iPhone app. They appear in the list but are non responsive to on or off commands. They also appear with incorrect statuses and, when updated, display the message: 'Wemo switch is not connected to the internet' . Kumo apps written allow devices to be selected, but the Kumo apps do not operate the Wemo switches. A similar problem exists when using IFTTT... the Wemo switches have been added and the relevant IFTT channel has been reconnected... The Wemo switches are available for selection but the IFTTT actions either skip due to 'Wemo switch is not connected to the internet'; or the action is reported as having been performed in the IFTTT log without actually [de]activating the Wemo switch.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
