Door monitoring

I would like to monitor my garage door to receive an alert if I forgot to close the garage door but only after 10:00 PM. I try to configure the tag in ''door monitoring mode'' with a schedule, but when the schedule arm the tag and the door is open I don't receive any message because it arm the system in the open position. 

Did I made something wrong ? Or is someone has a solution for that?

You can use the KumoApp "Arm/Disarm Scheduling by KumoApp" which passes "false" to the parameter "setClosed" in arm action (http://mytaglist.com/kumoapp/36/arm) which will cause the tag to not re-record the closed angle. This should allow the tag to report opened when it is armed by schedule; provided it has been armed manually before when the garage door is closed. 

However if the threshold angle you use is too low this may not work well because magnetic reading of the sensor may change over time due to magnetization of the compass. 

The Accelerometer based tag (http://store.wirelesstag.net/products/wireless-tag-pro#5) when configured in door mode does not need to record the closed orientation first to work, it will simply report open/closed based on the z axis reading (if you experiment you will understand what I mean) so this will work better in your application.

I have a pro version, but are you telling me that accelerometer version is different?
