Welcome to the Google group we'll be using for discussions and
announcements about our effort to convince Google that we're an
excellent community to partner with for their fiber-to-the-home pilot.
Currently, we're working closely with several city departments to figure
out the details of our city's application. We expect that to be rolling
along well by the end of this week, when we'll turn our attention to the
next effort: reaching out to our neighbors to help educate, excite, and
engage them making our application stand out from the crowd.
Here's how you can help: first, accept this invitation to join our
Google group. Next, please reach out to as many of your friends and
neighbors as you can and get them to join this list. We'll kick of a
brainstorming thread on Wednesday to generate as many ideas as possible
about how to make an interesting, standout application.
We'll also summarize our WireAlameda working sessions and other meetings
we attend to this group to help keep you up-to-speed with how our
application is doing and what's next.
Again, thanks for your involvement!

A mistake on my part; I copy-pasted the wording of what's usually the
invite into this message. Sorry for the oversight!
