Icomprogramming software allows users to set frequencies and functions within their Icom radios. Also know as Icom Cloning Software, this software runs on your PC under the Windows Operating System.

Warning Business radios that have pre-stored frequencies still required an FCC license to operate. Be advised, serious penalties and prosecution can result from the unlicensed transmission on frequencies.

Many land mobile radios require a license to operate, which means the FCC must allocate a specific frequency to the radios. It does not mean anyone who uses the radio needs to register or take a test, but your Icom dealer will need to apply for frequencies for you to operate the radios on. The license is for a business or entity. Radios that require a license may operate on a radio system with repeaters, which can be complex to set up and test.

Depending on the use case, business radios require a specific amount of programming. Your dealer will typically handle all the programming, no need to worry. Some online dealerships allow you to choose what type of frequencies you desire, or you can use previous programming configurations if you have ordered from them before.

The Federal Communications Commission requires a qualified technician to program frequencies. Hence, the dealer programs all radios. However, because MURS radios operate on five specific frequencies and are license-free, they can be programmed by a dealer or yourself.

Programming software is essential to MURS radio customization. Customize channel encryption, turn on safety features, or utilize VOX hands-free operation depending on the models. These radios can come to you pre-programmed with basic functionality.

Naturally, you would want to test out the radio yourself. Walk around and conduct a voice test with another person by pressing the Push-to-Talk button at every location. Doing so will help define your communication range. The last thing you want is a miscommunication between others on the radio.

Many Icom radios see constant use in construction sites, retail stores, schools, and more. It is no stranger to drops, tires, mud, and water. Most of our radios have a high IP rating to keep up with daily use. Suppose a radio on a construction site constantly falls and bangs against objects daily. In that case, it might have a shorter lifespan than a radio in a school.

Another big thing is handling the radio. Avoid grabbing the antennas as a handle, these decline the antennas health significantly resulting in poor communication. Touching an antenna should only occur when screwing/unscrewing it on a turned off radio.

what are you using for a power supply ? Maybe its shuting down on TX. The programming looks correct. Do you know what kind of repeater they are running. There is DPL inverted but not used a lot. The icom is pretty basic so im confused your having issues. can you program it for simplex and talk to a radi othat hears the repeater ?

The repeater I am trying to hit is the rugged575 in naperville - yes I know in the sample the tones don't match. I did not want to publish the actual tones online. I can it it from my Btech HT, and my Midland mx115 without issue. In the case of the midland, using the same feedline and antenna, at much lower power (15w).

Ignoring the repeater settings, I can talk to other radios/other channels just fine. I have some other radios that will receive only on the transmit frequency (467.575) so I can see that it is transmitting and hear my audio. It does seem to come down to the repeater settings/tones.

The docs on the radio are a little sparse, but I think I finally have my hands on all the programming and tech documents, and am working my way through some of the more obscure settings to see if there is anything there.

Your programming looks right. If you leave RX tone blank and put 031N in TX it should be in CSQ on RX. What do you mean people hear you but you can't/ Are they hearing you on the repeater side ? I've programmed hundreds of ICOM units over the years. They are basic and simple. From the snipped your programming is correct but being i don't know what repeater your trying to access I can't say with 100%

We are an authorized Icom dealer but we are based in the US and do not carry the F4162S or any other dPMR radios. As far as I know there is no other programming software available for the F3162/F4162 other than the programming software developed by Icom for that particular series. You may need to contact Icom in the UK.

We cant get the dPMR radios to work with the IC-F4162S radios we are using which are loaded with Rev v5.3 firmware & v5.20 software. All radios have UT-126H installed. I was hoping to be able to re-programme the dPMRs with this firmware & software but they dont read it.

I have contacted Icom u.k. who confirmed there is firmware to revert the IC-F4162S dPMR radios back to their original programming status but said the firmware is only available to Icom Dealers. They suggested I send all 12 radios to them to be re-programmed and that there would be a charge per radio to have this done.

Im trying to find a source for Icom firmware for IC-F3160/F5060 radios with dPMR firmware installed which will convert them back to their original basic PMR status. In other words stopping them from being dPMR radios and reverting them back to plain old Digital sets with UT-126H modules installed. Been on to Icom uk but they wont sell me a copy of the required firmware. Said I would have to send all 12 radio`s to them to firmware update and there would be a fee for each radio.

Is this radio model not known as the IC-F4161 in the states? Ive been on to Icom uk today who offered to re-flash the 12 radios for me at a cost of 38GBP per radio. I politely told them where to go. I paid 45GBP for each of the radios and as they cant be used in their current dPMR state I do believe it`s worth the risk of doing the necessary firmware conversion myself. Never bricked a radio in 25 years!

Dear Rick

I purchased recently the icom ic f4161dt through ebay and i can not programe it. I am in Greece and allthough I bought the cloning software cs f3260 railroad cs f3100d and cs f3160 and the opc 966u the original cable still can not get the de?vice to respond. Any help

Hi Kissandros, unfortunately the F4161 series was discontinued here in the US, and we are not familiar with the rules in Greece for using the radios in your country. Radios purchased used on eBay are risky, as there is no telling where it really came from, what condition it is in, if and how it is locked down or if it is even user programmable. This is a business radio that can operate on a trunked radio system or in conventional mode. Without knowing the current operating status or how it is currently configured or programmed, you may indeed have a difficult time reprogramming it, if you can even access the radio at all.

The pursuit of training in public health has personal, professional, and global outcomes that have significant influence on clinical care outcomes. Public health professionals are trained to incorporate a focus on disease prevention through research, promotion of healthy lifestyles, implementation of educational programming, policy development, and administration and regulation of health systems and services. Spanning many disciplines, those in the public health field are challenged with:

Thus, a public health training experience must provide an interdisciplinary and interprofessional environment that fosters learner success as they progress in their comprehensive public health knowledge, competencies, and professional values; identify and pursue individualized educational and professional goals along the scope and continuum of public health settings and sectors; and collaborate with faculty and community partners to improve health equity and overall population health and well-being.

In close alignment with the tenets of the osteopathic medical profession, this combined program of instruction seeks to integrate the traditional osteopathic training, skillsets, and perspectives of holistic, people-centered medical care into the development of professionals who are uniquely suited for leadership in modifying health behaviors/attitudes and improving knowledge through health policy development and occupational, environmental, and population health management.

ICOM medical students in good academic standing are eligible to apply to the MPH program following completion of their first semester of medical school. Your MCAT score will be used in place of any required GRE/GMAT examinations.

The MPH curricular program is managed and delivered by Idaho State University. The Idaho State MPH program maintains eight admission slots every academic year for ICOM applicants who are reviewed by faculty from both institutions.

The applicant will meet with the Associate Dean of Educational Development, Innovation, and Diversity and an assigned faculty mentor to establish student success oversight for the required sequence of courses and create an individualized training and curriculum timeline. This curriculum, in combination with that of the four-year osteopathic medical education program, is designed to be completed within a total of five years. Course work is subject to change, based on course availability and satisfactory student performance.
