Hello  Mike.Welcome to the group.

Harry her, 43 and been playing off and on since I was 18. Table top, a rare LARP, on-line and the rest of the normal forms.

I've played D&D, AD&D (Both editions), Vampire, GURPS, Torg, Shadowrun, Gamma World, World of Darkness, Fading Suns, and Hero System... among others.

I'm fond of contemporary settings, but I find a particular interest in Pulp settings. I've played mostly in fantasy though.

I have GMed AD&D, Torg and Gurps in the past, but I'm retired from the GMing business. I'm also the group's token blind guy.

My wife (Sandy) is a newbie who has started playing with a fantasy world setting developed by Donald, one of our members.

Harry

Welcome to the group! I'm Nick, and now I'm no longer the probie of the group! I'm rather new to the rpg scene, I have played a couple World of Darkness sessions before, as well as a short stint GMing for a dnd 4.0 game. I'm 26, so as far as I know I'm still the youngest here.

Hi, Mike! I'm Donald, currently GM (at least until John D manages to
get back to the games, and probably off and on even afterward). I'm
running a homebrew GURPS 4th Ed. fantasy campaign; we originated in
Orichalcum, a city named for the magical metal that's refined there, but
Sam Hastings (Harry's character) and Moonlight (Nick's) had to leave
town on short notice (Sam has some impulse control issues, while
Moonlight has learned he's probably wanted, and not primarily by the
cops), and managed to get passage to Varagost, the nearest major city,
with Anastasia Beech (Sandy's), an Elfling mariner from far-off Aelvona
in possession of a fishing ketch and the skill to sail it.

If you're interested in playing GURPS, take a look at my player pages
and then e-mail me directly about building a character. We'll be in
Kensma (about a third of the way from Orichalcum to Varagost along the
southern coast of the Umbral Peninsula) for the next couple playing
sessions, possibly more or less if the players get into trouble... ;)
If you're familiar with GURPS there should be enough information there
(including a download to go with GCS character building software) for
you to build a character, but I'd like to help and if needed will be
happy to build a character for you (as I did for Harry, Sandy, and Nick).

I'm kind of the absentee GM.  I had been running various Hero System games for the group - first a Fantasy Hero campaign, then a Pulp Hero campaign, and later a Golden Age Champions campaign.  (Although I'll play just about anything, I'm too old and curmudgeony to learn anything other than Hero well enough to comfortably run it.)

I think that we may be reaching the limit of our table, but We'll be happy to have you back when you get done with the pace of your academic life.
