I'm sorry, guys, but I'm going to have to bail on this weekend's game,
and possibly on the next one as well -- don't have enough gas for the
trip and no gas money at least until next weekend (if then).

It's the way the world works sometimes. I understand an empty gas tank and
with the price of gas these days (Even if it's suppose to drop a whole 50
cents this summer),it is a consideration.

So, I guess that this weekend's game is called on account of gas, and we'll
hope for next time.

How would you feel about being picked up? My car isn't exactly pretty, but it does run(so far). I come from King anyways so another stop doesn't bother me one bit.

You do know that Donald lives in Greensboro, right? It would likely add another 60 miles to your gas tank (round trip) to pick and take Donald home.

 

If the game can go, I'm thrilled, but if it can't, there is always next time.

That does put a damper on things, while the distance doesn't phase me, the timing would be off since I can't leave before 1:30. Which would put us getting back to Winston at around 3:30 or so?

Well, it'd be more like 3:00 than 3:30 (I'm in north High Point, not
Greensboro, but it is about 28 miles from my house to Harry's), but then
you'd have an extra hour getting home, too. Probably best to leave it
as "called on account of (lack of) gas."
