Obsidian is a wonderful for video content creation, and so are teleprompters. It would be really convenient to have a teleprompter window much like the presentation window that can show the text of any note while inverted vertically and horizontally, with automated scrolling based on a desired scrolling speed. Keyboard shortcuts would be convenient for those controls.
Yes! I agree - I just recently planned and scripted out a YouTube Video in Obsidian and then exported everything to a teleprompter app that felt a bit clunky - would love a way to keep everything internal to Obsidian and have scrolling text through a teleprompter window!
I am also highly interested in a teleprompter plugin for obsidian.
Is there a possibility to cover the costs and efforts at least partially through crowdfounding and to create an incentive?

Just adding a +1 to this request. I can see verbal presentations increasing with ChatGPT like tools to ensure students know their stuff. That said, a teleprompter would still be invaluable for doing videos too.
I'm making a DIY teleprompter and every glass pane I find has a double reflection. Making it impossible to read text! Somebody help me!! I'm not sure where I can find glass that will work and not have issues!
Hi, I want to share a solution I just discovered. I have a half-silvered teleprompter I use for zoom calls with my EOS M200 in webcam mode. Basically the camera sits behind the screen, so on a call I'm looking directly into the camera while looking at the display. In the past, I used an iPad Pro with Duet Display, which worked well. I had to give up the iPad Pro recently, so I switched to a 15.6" USB-C display instead. Mac OS doesn't have a built-in way to flip the screen horizontally. I tried a bunch of solutions with varying levels of success:
Open System Settings Display and click Arrange, then place the "Dummy" monitor where you usually place your teleprompter monitor. Put your actual teleprompter monitor somewhere out of the way. For example, my teleprompter is called "AROZPA" so my arrangement is [AROZPA][Dummy][Main monitor].

The teleprompter on the Vimeo mobile app helps you create a script and have it appear on your screen while you record your video, allowing you to read your dialogue. The script will not be visible in the final video.
Yeah - I have teleprompt software; I either copy my note content and dump it into the software, or if I edited the content to suit the new container, I'll attach the teleprompter file to my note for possible future use.
The PROIPEX is a through-camera teleprompter. This means the camera is positioned behind a two-way mirror to record the person reading the scrolling text. This allows the reader or talent to look directly into the camera lens while reading their script.
As you can see in the product images, the camera is not viable to the talent, only the scrolling text. This is because the camera is hidden behind the mirror enclosure and is mounted firmly on the teleprompter chassis.
The scrolling text is created by you and loaded into an app installed on your device. There are many ways of loading the text into the app you use, which vary depending on your choice.
