How did the first meetup go? I was looking forward to going but ended
up having a baby yesterday. Hope that's a good enough reason to miss
the meeting.
A bit about me - I've been using PHP since version 3, probably 9 years
or so. I've written web apps with Linux, php, mysql from simple to
more complex indexed document archival and retrieval systems and even
print filters that transform legacy printed reports in to dynamically
generated PDF documents.
Recently, I've been doing iPhone application development and made a
LAMP application to serve banner ads to the app and track usage.
I also teach some continuing educations class at U of W for web
application development.
Hope it was a great meeting and looking forward to the next one.

I believe the first meetup was well received. There was plenty of
interest expressed not only in PHP specifically, but also in the LAMP
stack in its entirety. We look forward to seeing you at future
events. We have a "Winnipeg PHP" Facebook group now as well, but this
Google Group will still be our primary means of disseminating and
exchanging information about the group. The next meetup is
tentatively planned for May 25th depending on how many in the group
will be observing the Easter Monday.
